Still Waiting

II am still in the "expectant stage". Knowing God by Heart is still in the publisher's hands. However, I have included an excerpt from the Introduction below. When life seems out of control, it's time to praise God even more fervently. He hasn't forgotten you! He is still sovereign. Praising God for who He is makes a huge difference in our outlook on life.

"Each person has a distinct personality and so does God. His attributes make Him who He is and give Him His reputation. If you were asked to describe the personality of a friend, you might use words like loyal, humorous or caring. Our personality consists of the characteristics or attributes that make us uniquely who we are. Though God is incomparable and we cannot fully understand Him, He has chosen to reveal Himself to us. He has done this through Jesus and through His Word.

A. W. Tozer said what we think about God is the most important thing about us. “That our idea of God correspond as nearly as possible to the true being of God is of immense importance to us.” 1 When wrong ideas about God enter our minds we begin to doubt God’s capabilities. We secretly wonder if we can trust Him. We think God isn’t fair or that He has forgotten about us. Worries increase, and fear has a heyday in our minds. At that point, we have played right into Satan’s hand. Anytime he can minimize God’s character to us, he has scored. Thoughts about God not loving us or not being big enough to handle our situation come directly from the Evil One. “If we would bring back spiritual power to our lives, we must begin to think of God more nearly as He is.” 2 To live a life of security and wholeness and peace, we must begin to have a right concept of God. Our confidence comes in thinking proper thoughts of Him and expressing our admiration."

Keep checking back and I'll let you know when my book will be available.
