How's your energy level

On page XI in the introduction to "Knowing God By Heart" I've listed J. I. Packer's four characteristics of a person who truly knows God. The first one is that person will have great energy for God. Do you have much energy for God? If you say, "I help out a lot at the church," you're missing the point. While it's great to serve with the right motive, there's more to it than that. Packer adds that those who know God will react to anti-God trends around them. They will stand against God's Word being dishonored. They are sensitive to truth being in jeopardy. God's causes will be close to this person's heart, so energy for prayer will not be lacking! Check your energy level. Is yours a ho-hum attitude or are you passionate in taking a stand for God and what is right?
